Job Summary
A Business Development Representative (BDR) is a member of the Outside Sales Team who is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, prospecting leads, closing sales and building relationships with potential and current clients. They play a crucial role in the sales pipeline by reaching out to prospects, qualifying leads, and selling . This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and a strategic mindset to drive business growth.
Job Functions
- Prospect leads to generate business.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine strategic sales approaches.
- Deliver results consistently by hitting KPI's and Standard Performance Goals that are identified for success.
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate stages with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
- Set up and deliver sales presentations, and other sales actions to set appointments daily.
- Support client visits, events and/or trainings.
- Overcome objections of prospective customers.
- Attend daily meetings.
- Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position.
Job Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in business administration {preferred} or a related field or demonstrated experience.
- Successful previous experience (1-3 years preferred) as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in B2B sales.
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft products.
- Willingness to travel.
