Job Summary
The Sales Development Manager will drive new business sales opportunities for our outside sales teams. They will recruit, motivate, and manage a team of 6-10 Sales Development Reps (SDR) as well as create marketing campaigns, leverage lead-gen tools (i.e. SalesLoft, Hubspot, Salesforce), and partner with Sales leadership on go-to-market strategies that grow sales.
The Sales Development Manager will report to the VP of Growth Marketing and strategize on best practices, messaging, and conversion rate optimization.
An SDR is responsible for identifying, developing, and driving revenue for the company's suite of HCM solutions. SDRs execute inbound and outbound campaigns for new direct clients, new resellers, and new referral sources — Banks, CPAs, and Benefit Brokers.

- Exceed assigned sales targets
- Always recruiting and grooming a bench of new SDR talent
- Be expert using lead-gen tools like Salessforce.com and SalesLoft
- Build multi-touch SDR campaigns that combine email, voicemail, and phone cadences with messaging that aligns to content and target audience
- Coach and motivate SDR performance on the sales floor (not managing from spreadsheets behind a desk)
- Know your data — Deeply understand KPIs of SDRs, campaigns, and overall team performance
- Partner with Sales leaders to align messaging, strategy, and desired results
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management or a business development role
- Experience with SaaS or payroll/HR solutions preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Tenacious work ethic with a desire to be a top performer
- Ability to articulate product value proposition
- Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, and SalesLoft preferred
- Resourceful and adaptable to change
